Our Fire District was founded as a volunteer organization in 1912 and has evolved over the years to meet the needs of our communities. Today, we have a full-time staff of 50 sworn members, and administrative staff that provide fire, emergency medical services, specialized rescue, fire and life safety education, code enforcement and fire prevention services to a population of over 55,000 citizens. We operate out of three strategically located fire stations and protect the communities of Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Park, Hainesville, and unincorporated Lake County.
